Artist Statement:
This design is a sequel of sorts, to one I did a few years ago. It's based on Fudo Myoh – or "immovable one", and is one of the five deities that protect the Laws of Buddhism. His fiery eyes and protruding fangs are meant to display his wrath against evil. The sword represents wisdom cutting through ignorance. The rope is used to bind evil forces. And the flames represent purification. For some reason, this deity spoke to me.
