Artist Statement:
The flying V formation is a visually striking symbol of that innate need to come together as one for a greater purpose, and I’ve always loved watching the birds as they travel far off in the sky, knowing they have a world all unto themselves.
The abstract ‘flying geese’ quilt pattern also represents a way that connects people to each other through art and community.
One minimal design and one of complexity, relating to the same idea.
Artist Bio:
Jonathan Adler (not to be confused with the well-known interior designer and ceramicist, but rather, the one who lives and works in Chicago) is a freelancer motion designer and animator, and is a sort of self-styled jack-of-all trades, master of none artist who likes to operate in the space where high and low art meet.
